One of the most challenging aspects of college is funding the entire experience. From tuition, to room and board, to entertainment to travel and the host of other financial obligations that must be met to enjoy the college experience. We want to do our part to make it easier for you to meet the most essential obligation which is paying for school. We have put together of scholarships that all college students or soon to be college students should take advantage of.
Development Fund for Black Students and Science and Tech
DFBSST identifies students through the assistance of Engineering and Science Department deans and professors at pre-selected, predominantly Black colleges and universities. DFBSST requests the deans and faculty members to identify a specified number of students that they would like to be considered for scholarships, and to pass on DFBSST scholarship application forms to these students.

Actuarial Diversity Scholarship
The Actuarial Diversity Scholarship promotes diversity within the profession through an annual scholarship program for Black/African American, Hispanic, Native North American and Pacific Islander students.
Will be a full-time undergraduate student at a U.S. accredited educational institution. Minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale), emphasis on math or actuarial courses. Entering college freshmen must have a minimum ACT math score of 28 or SAT math score of 600. African American Network of the Carolinas
The African American Network – Carolinas chapter provides scholarships to college-bound students from North and South Carolina who are pursuing a major in engineering, math, science, computer science, accounting, finance or business administration. AFSCME Union Scholars Program Summer Internship
The Union Scholars Program is a 10-week summer internship for students of color who are passionate about social justice, with an emphasis on workers\' rights. Students will take part in a hands-on organizing experience with AFSCME members, and will enjoy an opportunity to travel and receive valuable, resume-building experience - all while getting paid. Architects Foundation and the American Institute of Architects created the Diversity Advancement Scholarship to help more minority students pursue a successful career in architecture. The AIA Chicago Foundation Undergraduate Diversity Scholarship is an academic scholarship established to increase diversity within the architectural profession by aiding a current undergraduate student or student transferring into the B.Arch program at the Illinois Institute of Architecture or the BS program in Architecture at the University of Illinois at Chicago. The AICPA Minority Scholarship awards outstanding minority students to encourage their selection of accounting as a major and their ultimate entry into the profession. The LITA/LSSI Minority Scholarship is awarded annually by the Library and Information Technology Association, a division of the American Library Association, and Library Systems and Services, Inc. APSA Minority Fellowship Program
The Minority Fellows Program (MFP) is a fellowship competition for individuals from underrepresented backgrounds applying to or in the early stages of doctoral programs in political science. Eligible applicants must: be a racial minority; be a US citizen, US national, US permanent resident (holder of a Permanent Resident Card), or an individual granted deferred action status under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Program (DACA) at the time of application; and, demonstrate an interest in teaching and potential for research in political science.

Black Girl 44 Scholarship
The Black Girl 44 Scholarship was created by former Obama White House alum Deesha Dyer and includes contributions from more than 55 Black/African-American women who worked in the Obama White House. This private and independent initiative will award three $1,500 scholarships to Black/African-American women college students who have earned a Washington, D.C. internship that relates to policy, community engagement, community service, advocacy, global relations or politics.

Blacks at Microsoft (BAM) is a company-sponsored employee network dedicated to supporting the continued growth and development of black employees at Microsoft Corporation. The BLM² Scholarship was founded on the belief that any motivated individual in need should have the opportunity to further his or her education. Brown and Caldwell offers a $5,000 Minority Scholarship to support students who identify as minorities and are interested in pursuing a career in the environmental profession. Seeing an educational need in their congressional districts, the CBC Spouses Education Scholarship was established by the spouses of Congressional Black Caucus members in response to federal cuts in spending for education programs and scholarships, which disproportionately affect people of color. This opportunity awards scholarships to academically talented and highly motivated African-American or Black students pursuing an associates, undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral degrees.

CGCS-Bernard Harris Scholarship Program
The CGCS-Bernard Harris Scholarship Program was established to encourage minority students to pursue college degrees and careers in science, technology, engineering, and math. Four scholarships for two boys and two girls, with a value of $5,000 each, will be awarded in May of the year the scholarship is offered to two Black and two Hispanic students currently completing their senior year of high school in a member district of the Council of the Great City Schools.

The Charles Shelton Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide educational scholarships to African-American students pursuing a degree in veterinarian medicine or veterinarian technology. The Chasers Charities-Robinson Athletic Scholarship Program is administered by Omaha Storm Chasers, the Triple-A Affiliate for the Kansas City Royals. To be eligible to apply, the student must be a United States citizen or a permanent resident, reside in the following counties: Sarpy, Douglas, Cass, Lancaster and Pottawattamie, have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale, be African-American, male and female, and a high school student participating in athletics, be a high school senior or graduate planning to enroll in a full time undergraduate course of study at an accredited postsecondary institution.

The BLM² Scholarship was founded on the belief that any motivated individual in need should have the opportunity to further his or her education. Removing some of the financial burdens associated with college, BLM² plays a vital role in increasing college access to minorities. Brittany Bowers Beauty & Brains Scholarship supports ambitious young ladies and their pursuits of a higher education while promoting inner as well as outer beauty. Brown and Caldwell Minority Scholarship
Brown and Caldwell offers a $5,000 Minority Scholarship to support students who identify as minorities and are interested in pursuing a career in the environmental profession. Applicants must be a United States citizen or permanent resident, full-time student enrolled in his/her Junior, Senior year or graduate program at an accredited college/university, declared major in civil, chemical, mechanical, electrical or environmental engineering or one of the environmental sciences (e.g. geology, hydro-geology, ecology), have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent on a 5.0 scale), and identify as a member of a minority group (e.g. African American, Hispanic, Asian or Pacific American or Alaska Native).

Seeing an educational need in their congressional districts, the CBC Spouses Education Scholarship was established by the spouses of Congressional Black Caucus members in response to federal cuts in spending for education programs and scholarships, which disproportionately affect people of color. CGCS-Bernard Harris Scholarship Program
The CGCS-Bernard Harris Scholarship Program was established to encourage minority students to pursue college degrees and careers in science, technology, engineering, and math. Four scholarships for two boys and two girls, with a value of $5,000 each, will be awarded in May of the year the scholarship is offered to two Black and two Hispanic students currently completing their senior year of high school in a member district of the Council of the Great City Schools.

The Charles Shelton Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide educational scholarships to African-American students pursuing a degree in veterinarian medicine or veterinarian technology. The Chasers Charities-Robinson Athletic Scholarship Program is administered by Omaha Storm Chasers, the Triple-A Affiliate for the Kansas City Royals. To be eligible to apply, the student must be a United States citizen or a permanent resident, reside in the following counties: Sarpy, Douglas, Cass, Lancaster and Pottawattamie, have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale, be African-American, male and female, and a high school student participating in athletics, be a high school senior or graduate planning to enroll in a full time undergraduate course of study at an accredited postsecondary institution.

Cornerstone Charitable Scholarship Trust targets disadvantaged high school and post high school graduates across the State of Arkansas, under age 25 and eligible applicants with funding resulting from the Mauldin vs. Arkansas State Hospital Consent Decree, United States District Court No. LR-C-8777. To be eligible to apply, applicants must be economically disadvantaged, have completed their high school diploma at the time of application, plan to attend an accredited university, college, vocational school and be enrolled in or accepted as a student at an accredited university, college, or vocational school.
Corris Boyd Scholars Program
The Corris Boyd Scholars Program is a $40,000 award offered to graduate students majoring in healthcare administration. Eligibility: Have applied and been accepted into an AUPHA Full Member master\'s degree program for start in Fall, but not before August 1st (see website for list of member schools); be a full-time student; be a racial minority; have a 3.0 GPA; and, be a US citizen or permanent resident.
